Do you remember video game music that was so good you went into the options menu and demoed all the tracks without even playing the game? Well, this wonderfully meditative album by the mysterious ピクセル⭐ゴースト (pixel⭐ghost) is kind of like that, only the game is fictitious and it uses the power of your imagination as its graphic processor.

With 要素 (elements) the newcomer producer puts their talent for recontextualizing samples and a fascination for JRPGs and Shinto philosophy on display. The album's title is a play on words of sorts, referencing the elements in nature as well as the fact that it's laying the fundamentals for their music. The sound is heavily inspired by Folk and New Age, striving to create an organic, meditative atmosphere for the listener.

There's also some intriguing lore that comes with 要素, telling the story of a nightly encounter with spirits. Take a dive into all of it with the artist's verses below, the track titles, the video, and the beautiful music itself.
